ECHO PLAYERS ARTS FUND

oldtheatre.jpg

ECHO Players has been presenting live community theatre on the Village Theatre stage for 49 years! Community and connection is what we’re all about.

As a not-for-profit society, we rely on the talents, creative energy and generosity of individuals and businesses in the Oceanside area. We couldn’t do it without your support!

The Board of ECHO Players invites you to make a contribution to the Arts Fund. All donations of $20 or more receive a tax receipt.

Our quaint Village Theatre in Qualicum Beach is a designated Heritage Building. It was built in 1949 as a movie theatre in the Streamline Moderne style

As with any building of its era, The Village Theatre requires ongoing maintenance and upgrades. ECHO Players also encourages participation of youth in the Arts through our Scholarship programs, and promotes the continued education of members of all ages in the craft of theatre.

THE ECHO PLAYERS ARTS FUND GOALS;

  • Provide extra funding to enhance our heritage building

  • Provide additional funds to augment our quality productions

  • Provide community support through workshops, scholarships and facilities

  • Contribute to the love of theatre through the presentation of special events and

    activities

WHAT HAS THE ARTS FUND DONE?

Our first Arts Fund project was the installation of a wall mural, created by celebrated artist David Goatley. This massive mural is now mounted outdoors on the side of the Village Theatre. It was officially unveiled on July 1st, 2017- the 150th Celebration of Confederation.

Since then the Arts Fund has assisted ECHO Players with the cost of replacing the Village Theatre’s HVAC system, replacing the building’s roof, installing a new motorized curtain, and helping to fund scholarships for students in the Oceanside area.

Feel free to connect with us anytime to ask about our upcoming projects and fund-raising opportunities, including the hilarious Spam and Maple Syrup fundraising shows.

A sincere thank you to those generous individuals who have donated time, energy, talent and dollars to support the ECHO Players Arts Fund. You are much appreciated!
